Over a steaming cup of tea Rosemarie listened to a Tibetan refugee describe the horrors of imprisonment and torture and how he finally escaped Tibet for the religious freedom of India. He had done nothing but demand freedom. Weeks later Rosemarie received an email from this refugee listing other refugees that were in need of help. Distraught and not knowing what could be done, Rosemarie contacted Liesel. And so Hands of Hope began. Knowing that it is through education that we address change and support independence, within a couple of years our libraries and schools project and orphan assistance began.
